In a recent press event Sony announced PS4 owners can expect over 100 games to be released for the system in 2014.
Polygon is reporting Sony Computer Entertainment vice president of marketing, John Koller, as saying “Virtually all” of the upcoming games will run natively in 1080p listing Thief, Minecraft, Destiny and The Order as examples.
In addition to the announcement Sony offered some interesting statistics about the console:
We already knew 4.2 million PS4s have been sold worldwide. 90 percent of those consoles are connected to the internet and, PlayStation 4 owners around the world invest roughly 34 million hours per week (50 million if you include other media consumption), with over 172 million hours played total. Gameplay and screenshots have been shared 48 million times so far, with 1.7 million hours spent livestreaming gameplay on Twitch and Ustream.
